- Summarize the current state/epidemiology of CV disease in the US
- Recognize the unique aspects of CV disease in women
- Apply screening recommendations and guidelines in a range of patient populations

Learning objectives: At the end of this talk the participants should be able to:
- Describe the impact of CV disease impact on pregnancy
- Characterize pertinent care considerations for pregnant patients with acquired or congenital cardiovascular disease.
- Identify and initially manage cardiomyopathy during pregnancy and the immediate postpartum period
