Marlon Bohorquez

Marlon is a third-year resident who grew up in Burbank, IL - a southwest bordering suburb of Chicago. He completed undergrad at Northwestern University and then went to the University of Michigan Medical School. His professional interests include medical student/resident education and addressing healthcare disparities at the local level. When not at work and the weather allows, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and dog, Nala.

Susan A. Davis

Susan Davis is currently a fourth-year resident at UT Austin Dell School of Medicine, where she has been recognized for excellence in medical student teaching.  She completed medical school at Emory University, and will be returning there this fall as faculty in general Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Her academic interests include family planning and improving patient access to long-acting reversible contraception.  Outside of work, she enjoys yoga and live music, and is an adoptive mom to a cat named Ollie.

Anita Cheng

Anita Y. Cheng is currently serving as an Administrative Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She is from St. Louis, Missouri and completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University. She received her MD from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where she developed a passion for exploring racism and unconscious bias in medicine. As a resident, she has collaborated with faculty to develop a curriculum on this topic for Harvard Medical School students. In addition, she is invested in increasing OB/GYN residency engagement and training opportunities at community and federally qualified health centers. After graduation, she will be staying on as an academic generalist at her home institution, where she will be practicing at an FQHC as well as furthering her work on diversity and inclusion.

Emily Cassell

Emily Cassell is a current PGY4 resident at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center where she serves as an Administrative Chief Resident for her program. She grew up in Mount Vernon, Ohio and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Zoology. She then attended University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

During residency, Emily developed a passion for medical student education. She is looking forward to developing her skills in medical education when she joins the faculty at Ohio State as an academic generalist this fall.

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with friends and family when not quarantined. She loves Orangetheory, running outdoors, and riding her Peloton.

Alida Leavitt

Alida is originally from Denver, Colorado. She is currently a third-year resident at the University of Colorado in Denver. She attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine with an undergraduate degree in Biology. Prior to medical school, Alida worked full-time in clinical-translational research examining the host immune response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Non-tuberculous mycobacterium. She then went on to attend the University of Colorado School of Medicine for medical school. Alida is excited to develop her interest in medical education through her role as Education Chief resident. Her other professional interests include addressing health disparities, improving health literacy and family planning. Outside work, she loves exploring the mountains by skiing and mountain biking as well as cooking and yoga.

Ariana Lewis

Dr. Ariana Lewis is a third-year OB/GYN resident at UT Health San Antonio. She is originally from Fort Hood, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2013. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and received her M.D. in 2017. She aspires to be an academic generalist and her interests include medical student education and quality improvement. When not working, you can find her doing CrossFit, playing basketball, watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with family and friends.

Doreen Panzarella

Doreen Panzarella is a Chief Administrative Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY.  She received her undergraduate degree from New York University and then moved to Philadelphia to obtain her medical degree and masters of public health from Drexel University College of Medicine.  She came back home to Long Island for residency and plans to stay on as a Generalist in the department at Stony Brook Hospital.  Her professional interests include resident education, global health, and vulvovaginal disorders.

Markeiya Polite

Markeiya is currently completing her third year of OB/GYN residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. She completed her undergraduate studies at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and then went on a pursue a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology at Tulane University. She had a successful research career with the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Ga before attending medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.  

Her current interests are educating her junior residents and medical students as well as participating in multiple quality improvement research initiatives at her home institution. She has most recently taken the lead in the development of a “Residents as Teachers” curriculum for her residency program. She desires to become an academic generalist with hopes of continuing to contribute to the diversity and advancement of the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Erin Swor

Erin Swor is a fourth year Ob/Gyn resident at University of California - San Diego. She is originally from Detroit, Michigan and attended college at the University of Michigan. She received her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Over the last four years at UCSD, she has developed an interest in medical education and quality improvement initiatives. She currently serves as the Administrative Chief Resident for her program. Outside of residency, she enjoys trying new restaurants, hiking, and traveling. She is looking forward to swapping the San Diego sunshine for snow as she starts her attending career in academic medicine next year as faculty at the University of Michigan.

Kristen Venuti

Kristen is currently completing her 4^th year of Ob/Gyn residency at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She is originally from Georgia and completed her undergraduate education at The University of Georgia, “Go Dawgs!”, and received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She is currently the clinical teaching chief resident and has a passion for medical education, all things obstetrics and global health. When not at work, she loves exploring the local food scene, hanging out with her two cats and dragging her co-residents to all the fitness classes she can. She is so excited to be moving to Chicago next year where she accepted a position at Northwestern Medicine with the Academic Generalist group.
