ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (OB/GYN GENERALIST)

DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS, GYNECOLOGY, AND WOMEN’S HEALTH

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School has two full time positions available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on experience for Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians, as hospitalists, laborists or generalists in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position will treat diseases and disorders of the female pelvis. Also, treats women during prenatal, in labor, and postnatal periods. Performs all aspects of generalist OB/GYN practice including cesarean delivery, hysterectomy, and all standard outpatient OB/GYN procedures. Plans and participates in medical care to both inpatients and outpatients seen in University Hospital, on our newly renovated labor floor, our Ambulatory Practice, and other sites associated with Rutgers-NJMS. The practice is fully integrated in the teaching mission of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with faculty appointments in the medical school. The scope and breath of the applicant’s clinical activities will promote professional interests while covering clinical needs of the service and the educational mission. Professional interests in global health, clinical research, patient safety/quality and addiction medicine are encouraged. New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. This position is at Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) in Newark, NJ. Aligned with Rutgers University–New Brunswick and collaborating university-wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research. Board Eligible/Certified OB/GYN Physicians 

Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group, Department of OB/GYN is seeking two Board Eligible/Certified OB/GYN physicians to be general Academic Specialists to meet the needs of our expanding programs with USC OB/GYN in Columbia, SC.

Our innovative Academic Specialists practice inpatient OB/GYN care at the Prisma Health Richland campus.  The two positions have ambulatory care locations either in Downtown Columbia or Northeast Columbia. These positions will have a wide range of clinical practice as well as involvement in the clinical education of medical students, PA students, and residents. The clinical inpatient practices are supported by Laborists who cover evening labor and delivery calls. Physicians have a great work life balance with the support of laborists at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Call responsibility for these positions include a partial weekend 1:8 when the positions are filled, and coverage for planned paid time off for the Laborists.

Urogynecology, maternal fetal medicine, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, vulvar disorders clinic, and genetic counseling are all located on the Prisma Health Richland campus. The department also has an active Centering Pregnancy program.

Prisma Health Richland Hospital is a tertiary care and referral center for obstetric, neonatal, and pediatric services in the Midlands region.  The regions only Level I Trauma Center has a fully staffed Level III NICU, 16 active labor rooms, and three operating rooms in the labor and delivery suite.  Our inpatient facility at Prisma Health Richland serves as the primary clinical site for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and OB/GYN Residency program. Beside the hospital, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital has a Neonatal ECMO Center with around-the-clock transport services.

ACADEMIC GENERALIST AT MASS GENERAL

The Specialist Division of Obstetrics and Benign Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital seeks a board eligible or board certified physician to work full-time in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mass General Hospital and within its referral system. This physician will also have an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School.

Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology strives to deliver world class care with a personal touch to a diverse patient population. As a member of this division the physician would provide care on labor and delivery that includes supervision of residents and medical students as well as consultation to midwives. The outpatient obstetrics and gynecology practice includes rendering care in community health centers and private offices, as well as supervision of residents in the benign gynecology clinic. NORTHWESTERN MEDICAL GROUP OB TRIAGE HOSPITALIST & CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern Medical Group is recruiting a full-time OB Triage Hospitalist and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to expand our program at Prentice Women’s Hospital. As a provider within our innovative OB Triage service, you will deliver patient care at one of the nation's largest and most respected women's hospitals. The NMG OB Triage Hospitalist and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) role supports safe and effective care by implementing 24/7 physician involvement in the clinical activities of the Obstetrics Triage Unit. In addition to labor evaluation, the OB Triage Unit cares for all pregnant women who have a documented intrauterine pregnancy for both obstetrical and medical problems and provides obstetrical consultations for women who initially present to the hospital’s ED. The OB Triage hospitalist also staffs emergency gynecology consults of unassigned patients and backs-up the gynecology surgery attending on-call as needed during evening and weekend shifts.

Work Requirements: The Full-time OB Triage hospitalist and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) position provides coverage for three 12-hour shifts per week changing at 7AM &7PM, involving a mix of weekday and weekend day and night shifts. Although a full-time position is preferred, a part-time position, covering two 12-hour shifts per week may be negotiated.

Qualifications: Illinois medical license in good standing; board-certified or board-eligible in area of specialty; graduate of a fully accredited medical school and completion of an Obstetrics & Gynecology residency. IL licensure and IL DEA license required upon hire. The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Oklahoma City is seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Section of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position involves a flexible combination of clinical care, education, and clinical research in an academic setting. Applicants should be eligible for medical licensure in Oklahoma and board certified.
The section is a major component of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology which currently has 29 faculty and representation of all board-certified subspecialties including fellowship programs in gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, maternal fetal medicine, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. The Department is part of the OU Health Sciences Center, which houses 7 health colleges. The department has a strong residency program of 24 residents that actively participate in section activities during their training.
