RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist for a Leadership Role in Southern NJ

RWJBarnabas Health is currently seeking a board-certified OB/GYN Physician for a Program Director position as part of our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Community Medical Center. As a brand new program with exciting career growth opportunities, we are expecting to have residents in a four year program starting in 2022, contingent upon ACGME accreditation.
Community Medical Center, member of RWJBarnabas Health, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital located in Toms River, NJ. Community Medical Center (CMC) is Ocean County’s largest and most active healthcare facility, offering a comprehensive array of services.
Located in the heart of the Jersey Shore, this position is based near famous boardwalks, waterfront views, and local community attractions.
The successful applicant must have requisite training and experience in research and demonstrate a track record of dealing with the following responsibilities:

  • Programmatic operations, including but not limited to the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, advising, evaluation, documentation, and advancement of residents
  • Integration of the program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes the optimal environment for professional practice and medical education
  • Ensures accreditation of the program through application of ACGME common and specialty requirements in cooperation with other system leaders and outside consultants
  • Provision of thought leadership, organization and operation of the general administration of the residency program
  • Development and successful execution of the strategic direction of the program
Minimum Qualifications for the Position: 
  • 3 years as core faculty with documented educational and/or administrative experience
  • Substantial past involvement in scholarly activities within the past five years
  • Administrative experience is required, preferably as an assistant program director of an accredited teaching program or as a program director of an accredited teaching program
  • ABOG Board Certified with active NJ license or eligibility for NJ licensure 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership in obtaining ACGME accreditation, curriculum development, evaluation methodology, teaching, and mentoring residents
  • Demonstrated excellence in an overall mix of skills including clinical care, clinical teaching, and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine and institutional service

  • The new Program Director will designate 50% of time to clinical work and 50% of time to administrative duties.

OBGYN Faculty, Mount Carmel Health, Columbus, Ohio 

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a BC/BE OBGYN to join the full-time teaching faculty at our ACGME-accredited residency training program in Columbus, Ohio. About the Position:

  • Educate, supervise and provide direct care for patients in the resident clinic and on L&D Unit
  • Candidate must have strong interest and skill in team-based obstetrical care, health care policy for provision of obstetrical care, and high motivation for innovative resident and medical student education
  • Candidate must be comfortable with a broad spectrum of OBGYN, including management of medically complex high-risk pregnancies and advanced obstetrical surgery. Must be able to manage gynecological and OBGYN traumatic surgical emergencies

The UTRGV School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks an Academic Specialist in General OB/Gyn. Responsibilities include supervision and teaching of medical students and residents, with a mix of inpatient/out- patient OB and Gyn cases, and rotations in the hospital and outpatient resident and faculty private office settings.  Opportunities for extensive medical student/resident teaching and community engagement are available. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. 

Applicant must have a M.D. degree or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school and be Board Certified/Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Candidate must possess or be eligible for a Texas medical license, qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the UTRGV School of Medicine and appropriate hospital staff appointments. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
