Position Objective:
The Gynecologic Oncology (Gyn-Onc) nurse practitioner will assess patients, formulate, implement, and evaluate care plans in the management of Gyn-Onc patients' care delivery in collaboration with the Gyn-Onc surgical and multidisciplinary oncology teams. Emphasis on acute/same day care inpatient and outpatient setting. Services are provided under the rules, regulations, and policies established by the approved advanced practice registered nurse' scope of practice in the State of Maryland, MBON, HCFA, ANA, AAHS and other regulatory agencies.

Educational/Certifications/Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
  • Licensed as a certified registered nurse practitioner in the state of Maryland
  • Current National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult, Oncology, Women's Health, or Acute Care).
  • Eligibility for or holds both DEA and Maryland CDS prescriber's licenses.
  • Gynecologic Oncology clinical nursing experience.

Carilion Clinic

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Carilion Clinic, located in Roanoke, VA, is excited to announce the availability of a full-time faculty position to meet its growing needs at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed academic/tertiary care hospital with Virginia State-designated Level 1 Trauma Center and Level III Nursery serving nearly one million people throughout western Virginia.

The faculty member will have a full spectrum general obstetric and gynecologic practice in a community-based academic environment and join a group of 13 other OB/GYN faculty and 8 Nurse Practitioners. The candidate must have excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for medical education of residents and students. Candidates must have a MD or DO and board-certified, or be an active candidate for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in Virginia. A faculty appointment, commensurable with experience, is available at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Academic experience preferred.


CU Health

OB/GYN Hospitalist Position

CU Health is opening a new hospital in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. We are looking for board certified OB/GYN hospitalists to help with our growing need! This position will offer a great balance of work and life, giving you the flexibility to enjoy all of the activities Colorado offers (ski season is coming!).

The hospitalist is a critical part of our group practice model and will oversee perinatal safety at the birth center. The hospitalist will support all established obstetrical practices with care of their inpatients, as well as assume responsibility for all unregistered or walk-in patients. They will also work in conjunction with the maternal fetal medicine service to evaluate and manage hospital transfers, assist with obstetric triage, and provide backup as needed for midwifery and family medicine services. Additionally, they will cover unassigned gynecologic patients who require emergency care.
Hospitalists will be on duty, comprised of 12 to 24 hour shifts, and work as a team to provide continuous coverage. The successful candidate preferably has experience in a busy obstetrical practice. This position is primarily clinical, but there may be opportunity for academic responsibilities, such as the opportunity to supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students. Must be board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and hold an unrestricted Colorado medical license. This is a faculty position with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of General Obstetrics and Gynecology.

OB/GYN Hospitalist - Academic Position UCSF

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California San Francisco is seeking several board certified ObGyn Hospitalists at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to join the Division of Ob/Gyn & Gyn Subspecialties (OGGS) and establish a new hospitalist program at UCSF.

The primary focus of the Hospitalists will be the clinical care of general obstetrical patients at UCSF. Work duties average 7 24-hour shifts per month. Responsibilities will include:
• Attendance in OB triage: this includes the direct care of patients in triage as the primary provider and supervision of a rotating “triage team” that may include medical students, residents, fellows, CNMs and NPs.
• Attendance in postpartum: this includes the direct care of our complicated postpartum patients and providing consultation to the postpartum NP and CNM team that attends to low risk postpartum patients.
• Back up attendance for L&D that includes being the primary or assistant surgeon in C/S, operative vaginal delivery and spontaneous vaginal delivery.
• Serving as primary or assistant surgeon on placenta accreta cases.
• Cover emergency GYN cases as needed.
• Participation in unit based leadership team and quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversight and assurance of unit protocols, policies, and quality measures.
• Opportunity to participate in unit based clinical research.

The successful applicants will demonstrate an aptitude for and dedication to medical education including direct teaching and mentorship of CNMs, nurse practitioners, fellows, residents, CNM interns and medical students.

Candidates must have demonstrated capability and experience in providing evidence-based and patient-centered ObGyn care and in collaborating and coordinating care in clinical teams that enhance the patient experience with a commitment to excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.
